Why Choose MisterSnow?
  • MisterSnow has over 15 years experience plowing snow in the North Bay area for both residential and commercial clients. Our staff has the operational, mechanical and administrative skills required to offer prompt and reliable snow plowing service.

Do you offer a seasonal rate?
  • Yes, for clients who would wish to know upfront what the cost of service for the year will be. If you would like your driveway cleared each snowfall without having to call for service, this is for you.

    Can we call as needed?
  • Sure. We take calls during snow events and get there as soon as we can. Minimum charge starts at $25 and may be more depending on your driveway. Please note that priority is given to regular customers so do expect to wait a bit before we get there.

    What time will you come?
  • We start plowing our route after a snowfall has ended or after there is significant accumulation already on the ground (approx 4 inches) - whichever comes first. Exact times may vary from event to event depending on how much snow we get and at what time it stops falling.

What are your methods of payment?
    • We will accept cash - provided you come out and give it to the driver when he is there.
    • Cheques or money orders may be mailed to us (preferred)
    • We do accept Paypal and our payment email is jhook@filtermy.com

How close will you go to my garage door?
  • Well, not close enough to hit it! We will get as close as our operators feel comfortable. Given the choice between damage to a building or leaving a few inches of snow, most customers prefer we keep our distance. We do not shovel in front of garage doors unless sidewalk service has been ordered as well.

What if it is snowing like crazy and I have 2 feet of snow in my driveway and I can't get out?
  • Well, odds are that the city hasn't cleared all the streets yet either so you really are better off at home. During periods of heavy snowfall, we try to keep open as many places as possible. Of course service will be affected by the weather. Our main concern in these times is to keep our businesses open as much as possible. Once the snow stops, we can get around to the residential drives. Please note that if you get stuck in your driveway we will not be able to plow it until after you remove your vehicle.

What if the City comes and plugs my driveway after you clear it?
  • When this happens, then call us to let us know. We try to clear the residential drives during the day and after the city plows have been by in order to prevent this. However, sometimes we are there before them and don't know when they will be by so a simple phone call will alert us to the fact they have come.

What if I have an appointment and have to get out?
  • MisterSnow's mandate is to offer excellent customer service as much as possible. If you have to get out of your driveway and can't then please give us as much notice as possible. Please remember that we are also offering service to many other residential and business clients around the city at the same time and you may have to make alternate transportation arrangements for yourself.

How soon should I sign up for service?
  • The sooner the better. We start building our routes in early September for the winter. If you leave it too late, we may not have available room to offer you service. We do have limited spaces and they fill up quickly.

    Who is SIMA?
  • SIMA (Snow and Ice Management Association) is a trade organization for the snow and ice control industry. Becoming a member indicates to our clients that we are dedicated to providing service in an ethical and professional maner. It is an organization that will keep us abreast of industry best standards and will help us to raise our level of service.
